Until the racing game Gran Turismo 7 comes to the market exclusively for PS5 and PS4 (March 4, 2022), attract a few months to the country. But after all, the developers of Polyphony Digital during the meantime always provide you with new information to make the wait a bit more pleasant. So now the responsible Game Director Kazunori Yamauchi, who betrayed some interesting details in several interviews.
Opposite the magazine Game Watch, he explained that there will definitely give it in Gran Turismo 7 (now € 79.99) Support for RayTracing, but only in certain modes and areas of racing game. First, this is the case only for the replays and within the workshop, whether there is an update for other areas, is not yet known.
Weather system and driving physics
In an interview with GT Planet, the Game Director also went more closely on the driving physics. This was refined in close cooperation with some of the best Gran-Turismo players around the world and should therefore feel something natural than at GT Sport. Among other things, the team hurts again, which logically can also be noticeable in the general driving experience.
In conversation with the magazine Eurogamer there was still some details about the weather system. Both the weather conditions and the daytime will change in real time and have an influence on the race to a certain level. Thus, among other things, the system calculates if and if yes, how much water is on the track. When cars drive over the water, it splashes to the side, so that the route dries a little faster at this point than in other areas. All this is simulated. However, there are no calculations for things like the rubber abrasion of the tires.
